I feel incredibly privileged to have had the honour of capturing Marcel and Kathrin’s very special wedding near Freiburg in Germany. The two of them share the most beautiful, authentic and deep love for each other, and it was evident all over their faces the entire day! I already feel like I have the best job in the world, but when you add in a couple and a location like this, well then I’m just in photo-heaven!

The two of them decided to opt for a first-look before the ceremony. Documenting this quiet moment before the busyness of the wedding day was a special thing! Plenty of emotion to go around!

We went from this straight into the couple shoot. My fear of harsh mid-day light was banished immediately as the sky was diffused beautifully by the clouds. Just as we were finishing off our second round of couple pictures in the afternoon, it began to rain! The timing couldn’t have been much better!

A very sincere thank you goes to the incredibly lovely Judit Maier who assisted me on the day. She was an absolute star and wonderful companion to have around :)
