I am just so so thrilled to be sharing the images from this shoot! I think I can say that these are some of my very favourite pictures I’ve ever taken :)
Alungile and Mvuzo have been in front of my lens many times, and I know this won’t be the last! Theirs was one of the very first weddings I ever photographed (over five years ago!), and it was only natural to have them grace the lens again for this styled shoot.
I must give credit where credit is due – the most lovely Mabel from my Wedding box was the person who inspired this shoot. She contacted me a few months ago about doing a styled shoot, and this winter we finally made it happen. I really wanted to do a shoot that would be very natural and dreamy. I spend far too much time scrolling through Instagram liking other photographers’ beautiful earthy elopement pictures, so I decided that it’s time to create some of my own! I love photographs that embrace the beauty of nature, so this was the starting point for this shoot. Mabel took on my vision and turned it into a reality. How absolutely gorgeous are the flowers she arranged? And on top of that, she’s one of the sweetest ladies you’ll ever meet. Brides- use her for your wedding!
The two wedding dresses that are pictured below are from the amazing Wedding Boutique in Woodstock. These dresses are SO up my alley – Can I please get married again so I can wear such a beautiful creation myself?
Lindsey from Makeup and Delight did the incredible makeup and hair that just brought out Alungile’s natural beauty even more. Lindsey is a true artist in everything she does, I so recommend her!
Such a dream team to work with! Thank you so much for joining me on this collaboration, ladies!
